As mentioned before me: Very recommended for broke young people, since it is one of the cheapest hotel in Brussels. & Be prepared! Very helpful and friendly staff.
All negative experiences are already written below...

The staff was very nice, and was english speaking. As mentioned, breakfast is included and contains simple but good ingredients. Overall we did not pay much- but we received a whole lot in terms of hospitality and kindness! Not perfect but good location as well. Very recommended for broke young people like us.

Shower drains are very slow due to hair clogs. Would like some kind of protein at breakfast--ham, cheese, or egg.

It is near of a train station: sharbeek.
Dirty bedroom and bed cover. I asked for a non-smoke room and the room seemed like to have had smokers.

- Free WiFi everywhere in the hotel; - Free Breakfast; - City tax included (although most of the hotels in Brussels do not include either the city tax or breakfast) - The staff could speak english
- The building was really old; - The sink in my bathroom was leaking and they only managed to fix it after the second night of my stay; - The location is not good, nothing interesting around and I had to make at least 2 transportation changes to go to the city center

No positive feedback for this hotel.
The room was totally unusable. It smelled horrible, everything was stained, the toilet barely flushed, the staff was a little aggressive, and the heater was set on high without an off switch. Hotel la Potiniere was a nightmare. My friend and I left about forty minutes after we arrived. There is no way I could have spent a night in a blood stained sweat lodge.

The location is far from city centre but close to Metro stop. The staffs were very friendly.
The room facilities were not good. The bathroom door handle was broken, and the beds looked dirty. The Wifi was terrible, that my phone could not connect it most time, even it was very slow when connected.

Cheap
The place is far from the city centre and the train stations. The nearest tram stop is 10 to 15 mins walk from the hotel and not good if you come home late at night. The room is too small, gets cold at night, the heater wasnt working properly. I left my ereader there the day we checked out and I have to ring them several times to have them admit that it is there. That was questionable for us.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The location was very close to a train station, which was just 2 stops from the central train station in Bruxelles. Breakfast was nice, I enjoyed a free coffee or two before starting my day.
The fire alarm went off at 3am >.<

The area appeared to be ghetto and unsafe for a solo traveler such as myself. The room was dirty, mattress was old and sunk in, walls paper thin. Quite cold in the room with no thermostat. The entire hotel smelled gross, possibly like Indian food. I picked this hotel based on price and still felt I over paid. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

The rooms were not clean. The towels were dirty and I found a small glass full of cigarettes.

The location and the price
The sanitair was very cramped, the beds had poor matrasses and the breakfest was very limited.
